Should Christians celebrate Christmas?
Quick Answer
The Bible neither commands nor forbids celebrating Christmas. Christians should honor Christ in whatever they do.
Biblical Answer
The Bible never commands Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25. Likewise, it never forbids remembering Christ's birth.
Romans 14:5–6 teaches that some believers regard one day as more sacred than another, while others treat every day alike. Each person should be fully convinced in their own mind and honor the Lord.
If Christmas becomes an opportunity to worship Christ, share the Gospel, and thank God for the gift of His Son, it can be celebrated with joy. However, if certain traditions violate a believer's conscience or become more important than Christ Himself, those traditions should be avoided.
The focus should always remain on Jesus Christ rather than commercialism or human traditions.
